Experiences with species Located by its call, the bird sat out in the open for a good while so we got decent views of it. It is very restricted in range in Southern African, the Ngoye Forest is the only place it is found. Apparently there are several fig species it feeds on, as well as the insects etc. associated with these plants, which do not grow anywhere else. It moves around during the year depending on when the plants are fruiting, hence local knowledge helps. Other names: - |
